Spill Prevention and Management
ARM Oil & Gas Solutions (AOGS) has the experience and expertise to help companies with spill prevention and management at well sites, storage facilities, and support facilities. Spill prevention and management programs, must be prepared in accordance with the applicable State or Federal Regulations governing the site. AOGS can prepare the following plans for your site or facility:
- Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC) for petroleum materials per the requirements of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Federal Clean Water Act
- Preparedness, Prevention and Contingency (PPC) Plans for other materials per the requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) Pennsylvania Clean Streams Law and Pennsylvania Solid Waste Management Act
- Spill Prevention and Response (SPR) Plans per the requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of
Environmental Protection (PADEP) Pennsylvania Storage Tank and Spill Prevention Act
For sites where one or more of the above plans is required, AOGS can prepare a combined Environmental Emergency and Response Plan (EERP) per the PADEP document entitled, “Guidelines for the Development and Implementation of Environmental Emergency Response Plans”. This single plan is often easier to manage, while at the same time ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. AOGS has prepared spill plans (SPCC, PPC, SPR, and EER) for various entities that include but are not limited to: steel mills; bulk petroleum storage and distribution facilities; feed mills; cement plants; chemical storage facilities; airports; and truck terminals. AOGS can also complete compliance audits for facilities that have an existing plan to ensure that the plans have been prepared and updated in acceptance with the latest applicable requirements.
In addition to having the expertise to prepare the required plan(s) for your facility, AOGS has the in-house capabilities and strategic alliances to respond to spills and provide remedial services.
